English instructor / translator
We're looking for motivated, experienced English instructors and translators with native fluency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, Amharic, Tagalog, Nepali or Pashto, excellent written and spoken English, and a passion for helping people grow at work.
What you'll do
- Plan and teach engaging English lessons tailored to students of different levels: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and conversation practice.
- Use a variety of methods and our platform's resources to keep classes interactive and effective.
- Assess progress regularly and give constructive feedback.
- Translate workplace documents and materials between English and your language, keeping cultural nuance and clarity.
- Interpret for meetings and events when needed.
What you bring
- Native fluency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, Amharic, Tagalog, Nepali or Pashto.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- A teaching certification or equivalent ESL experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working independently and in a team.
- Confidence with technology and language-learning software.
Nice to have
- Experience teaching online or in hybrid formats.
- Familiarity with Communicative Language Teaching or Task-Based Language Teaching.
- Experience adapting to diverse learners and learning styles.
